How we operate
If you’ve ever been on the receiving end of a 3 hour hard-sell sales pitch I can sympathize. Over zealous, won’t take “No” for an answer salesmen have given the home improvement industry a bad name. I wouldn’t tolerate this approach in my own house and don’t expect you to in yours either. At the end of the day I think most people see right through it anyway. I’ve never worked like that and never will.
You being delighted with the job is my number 1 priority, which means:
- you will never be pressured into
ordering items you don’t need or higher priced items than you can
afford.
- you won’t be convinced to take extra
units ‘just to fill up the wall space’ (I’ve seen it so many times
where a kitchen looks too ‘busy’ because their last kitchen supplier
sold them far more than they needed).
- I’ll listen to what you do and don’t want and base my design on this. I’ll advise you on the best and safest layouts and what’s new on the market, but the final decision is yours – there’s no obligation.
The Process
For local installation work, I will visit you at your home to discuss
your needs and show you the kitchen ranges we have
available. After measuring the room and getting a feel for what ‘look’
you’re after, I’ll return at a convenient time with a design which
incorporates the features you need and makes best use of the available
space.
I’ll give you a quote for the goods and work involved which shows a full
breakdown of the various costs. You are then free to choose to take some
or all of the items shown, or shop around for other quotes. You won’t be
harassed into signing anything on the spot, or be told that the deal is
only available that day.
If you would like to use our services, we’ll agree a start time for the
work and arrange a deposit. Our terms are 1/3 of the total order value
in advance, the next 1/3 on the first day of the job (when the goods are
actually in your house) and the final 1/3 when the job is complete and
you are satisfied. (‘Supply only’ orders must be paid for fully in
advance).
Timescale
Most small to medium sized kitchen usually take about a
working week to complete and normally begin on a Monday morning with
removal of your old kitchen. Any preliminary wiring,
plumbing and plastering work is also done that day ready for the kitchen fitters to start on the Tuesday morning. This would usually
be finished by the Wednesday/Thursday ready for tiling (if needed).
Friday is when everything takes shape and the finishing touches are
taken care of.
Obviously this time-scale isn’t set in stone and every job is different,
but it gives you some idea of what’s involved and typically how long it
might take.
If we sound like the kind of company you would like to do business with,
please give me a call on 01337 830735 and ask for Hywel
